My
name is Connie Baron and I am the owner and creater
of Eva B Jewelry. I design and make my jewelry in my
studio, just west of Portland, OR.
My
company is named Eva B after my two grandmothers, Eva
and Rosella. Eva was a milliner, seamstress and
beaded jewelry designer. Rosella pained on canvas and
ceramics. My studio is decorated with my mother's'
jewelry, my father's paintings, and my grandmother's
hats, beads, accessories and ceramics.
My
interest in jewelry began in childhood. I loved to
dress up in my mother's fancy rhinestone jewelry.
Now, I design jewelry I'd like to wear, or that I'd
like to see on my friends and family.
Each
piece is made with form and function in mind. My
sterling work is strong and carefully fabricated.
When I use stones or other components, in addition to
creating interesting color combinations, I try to
think about the history and lore associated with the
stones. Moreover, I consider the stones' therapeutic
properties. Therefore, in addition to being
beautiful, Eva B Jewelry feels good to wear.
